Have questions about how care works at Morgan Virtual Psychiatry? You’re in the right place. Below you’ll find clear answers about appointments, telepsychiatry, medication management, therapy, insurance, and more—with quick links to next steps like new patient scheduling and contacting our team.
How do I become a new patient?
Start with our streamlined new patient intake. You’ll choose an appointment time, complete brief forms, and review what to expect during your psychiatric evaluation.
What happens during the initial psychiatric evaluation?
We look at the full picture — your symptoms, history, lifestyle, and goals—to create a personalized plan that may include medication, therapy, and practical tools you can start using immediately.
How soon can I be seen?
Availability varies, but virtual care helps us offer prompt openings. Check current times on new patient scheduling or contact us for help.
Is telepsychiatry as effective as in-person visits?
Yes—most concerns are well-suited to secure video visits. Learn how sessions work on our telepsychiatry page.
What technology do I need?
A private space, stable internet, and a smartphone or computer with camera/mic. We’ll send simple instructions when you book through new patients.
Can you coordinate with my primary care or therapist?
Absolutely. With your consent, we collaborate to ensure seamless care. You can request coordination during your psychiatric evaluation or any follow-up.
Which conditions do you treat?
We treat a wide range of mental health conditions, anxiety, depression, and ADHD, being among the most commonly addressed. If you’re unsure where to start, a psychiatric evaluation is a great first step.
Can you help if I have more than one concern?
Yes. Many people have overlapping symptoms. We create integrated plans that may include therapy plus medication management.
Do I have to take medication?
Not always. Some people do well with therapy alone; others benefit from a combined approach. We’ll discuss options during medication management and therapy.
How often are follow-ups for medication?
Early in treatment we meet more frequently to fine-tune dosing and track response, then space visits out. Your schedule is set during medication management.
How do refills work?
Refills are typically addressed during follow-ups. If you’re running low, reach out via contact so we can guide you.
What types of therapy do you offer?
We use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, behavioral activation, and skills training focused on sleep, stress, routines, and habits. Explore therapy options.
Can I do therapy and medication together?
Yes—combined care often improves outcomes. Your clinician will outline a stepwise plan during your psychiatric evaluation.
Do you take my insurance?
See current coverage and out-of-network options on insurance & pricing. We’ll help you understand benefits before you start.
What if I’m paying out of pocket?
Transparent rates are listed on insurance & pricing. We can also provide superbills for potential reimbursement.
Can I use HSA/FSA?
In most cases, yes. Check your plan’s rules and bring questions to contact.
Do you see teens or older adults?
Yes. We tailor care by life stage and involve families or caregivers when appropriate. Start with a psychiatric evaluation.
Are there location requirements?
Clinicians must be licensed in the state where you are physically located during the visit. Ask us via contact.
What if I’m in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm?
Call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), 911, or go to the nearest emergency room. After you’re safe, we can coordinate ongoing care via telepsychiatry.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Please complete your intake and consent forms, prepare a list of current medications and supplements, gather any relevant records, and have a blood pressure cuff available—especially for virtual visits. You’ll receive full preparation details after booking through new patient scheduling.
What is your cancellation or reschedule policy?
We ask that you cancel or reschedule appointments at least 24 hours in advance. Changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, may incur a $50.00 fee. This policy helps us protect time reserved for your care and for other patients in need of services.
Is my information confidential?
Yes. We follow strict privacy standards. If you want us to speak with a family member or another clinician, we’ll obtain your consent during psychiatric evaluation or a follow-up.
How long until I feel better?
Many people notice early improvements within weeks, especially with consistent medication management, therapy, and lifestyle changes.
How do you track progress?
We pair check-ins with brief symptom measures and concrete goals (sleep, energy, focus, motivation). Plans are adjusted in follow-ups.
If you’re considering care, the best next step is to schedule your first visit. Have a quick question first? Send a note through our contact page or review telepsychiatry and insurance & pricing for details. We’re here to help you feel better—and stay better.
